Back at the marketing helm for the MCN!

I’m back and excited to take up again the Marketing & Membership helm for the Military Coworking Network (MCN), a project supported by the RAF Association (RAFA) as well as the Navy, Army, and RAF Family Federations, Ministry of Defence (MoD), Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, and many other stakeholders within the wider Armed Forces community.

At the very heart of this initiative sit military spouses and partners. Not only do they keep the home fires burning when their partners are on a military exercise or deployed on operations, but by keeping those wheels turning at home in times of war and peace, they enable our military to be the formidable force it is today. They are the silent backbone of the military. The glue that holds it all together. The unsung heroes of the British Armed Forces.

Valued not undervalued

Making sure their needs – personal and professional - are also met becomes doubly important in light of the role they play within the military community. It is important that they feel valued. Empowered. Respected. Supported.

And that is what the MCN is all about.

Its goal is to enable military spouses and partners to create and maintain independent and fulfilled professional lives alongside the complex and unique challenges of military life.

And it’s trailblazing its way up the military charts with its innovative network of coworking hubs and brilliant online community that gives members FREE access to exclusive, insightful, and inspirational content, events, networking opportunities, and other opportunities to grow and connect.

Exciting Times Ahead

And my appointment couldn’t have come at a more thrilling stage of the project, too.

After a successful, independent evaluation of the project that was completed towards the end of 2023, the MCN has been awarded two years of additional funding by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Defence (MoD). Funding that will enable the opening of further coworking hubs across the UK and support critical growth and the expansion of the online community.

I can’t wait to get started. My ideas pot is bubbling away, my enthusiasm is at its peak, and my energy levels are soaring. I’m so looking forward to working again with Maria Lyle, Vanessa Plumley, Linzi Jenkinson, Sarah Stone and Megane Bambridge.

I hope you will join me on my MCN journey as the team strives to take it to the next level. Please show your support for this amazing, and truly inspirational initiative by following us on our Social channels and sharing our updates with your networks, especially your Armed Forces community!
