Introducing our Central Support Team

The Central Support Team is responsible for ensuring the MCN not only runs smoothly, but continues to grow from strength to strength, and here they are in no particular order:

LINZI JENKINSON

Hub Management & Development Lead

Linzi is the friendly, approachable face of our hubs and the vital link between hub members and the central team. Passionate about people and community, she’s always ready to help and genuinely dedicated to making sure every hub is welcoming, well-supported, and thriving.

With over 19 years of lived experience as a military spouse—and now a veteran’s spouse—Linzi brings a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the military community. She first joined the Military Coworking Network as a volunteer in 2020 and has been a driving force behind its growth ever since.

Her commitment to the MCN runs deep, and she takes pride in helping to expand and strengthen the network so that more military families can benefit from the support, connection, and flexibility it offers.

Before joining MCN, Linzi was an area manager in estate agency and previously worked as a stewardess. Her background in service and leadership, combined with her personable and hands-on approach, makes her a natural fit for her role today.

Whether she’s supporting members, developing hubs, or helping grow the network, Linzi is passionate about making a difference—one connection at a time.

KELLY SHERMAN

Southern Hub Coordination Support Lead

Kelly says: "I’m so excited to be stepping into this new role supporting our community as the southern hub coordination support lead.

As a military partner (LTR) the co-working hubs, online and at a base, have felt like a lifeline for me and I am incredibly passionate about supporting and growing our community and offerings. There are many times that I have felt alone and being part of the Military Coworking hub has helped me from feeling less isolated. I’m here to help grow and support connections of our amazing Military Co-working hubs, spread the word about the wonderful opportunities we have and do my best to make sure that no one feels like they have to figure things out alone, at the same time as celebrating all the ways we learn, grow and support each other, together.

A little bit about me – I’m a former business teacher and creative alternative education designer turned business mentor, emotional health and life coach, SEMH and learning mentor for teenagers, as well as designing and supporting the home education of my teenager.  I also spend my time creating learning and wellbeing resources for other families navigating education outside mainstream school with their children as well as being an emotional connection mentor helping people in business connect to their ideal client at a deeper level to help them feel safe, seen and heard.

I can’t wait to meet more of you and hear your stories. I would love to get to know as many of you as possible to hear what we can do to grow our offerings and support to the community. I can be contacted via email at kelly@militarycoworking.uk but I also hope to meet many of you when I begin to visit the Southern hubs."

RACHEL LUKE

Marketing and Membership Lead

Rachel originally started out as a scientist working for the NHS, before she met her RAF husband and postings meant that things took a “squiggly” turn.

After a detour working for the UK Space Agency looking for life on Mars, she took a break whilst having her child. However, as the sort of person that needs something to occupy her mind, she started up a business in 2020 utilising her marketing skills honed over 20 years of building websites, writing blogs and helping friends and family with their businesses and causes.

The business was a huge success, growing over 5 years to a team of 10, mostly military spouses, supporting over 150 businesses across the world. Rachel also spent a lot of time giving back to the military community, running free webinars and helping other military spouses set up in business.

After 5½ years in business Rachel decided it was a time for a change and went back into employment again, ultimately ending up with the Military Coworking Network in a dream role for her.

She’s super passionate about supporting military spouses and bringing more fun into everything she does. When not working, you’ll find Rachel either gaming in some way (board gaming, video gaming or playing a RPG) or doing one of her many aerial hobbies at her local pole & aerial studio.
