MCN announced as a Finalist for the Soldiering On Awards 2024

We’re absolutely delighted and thrilled to share with you that the Military Coworking Network (MCN) has today been announced as a finalist in the 2024 Soldiering On Awards.

The Awards, which comprise 12 separate award categories, pay homage to the outstanding achievements of the Armed Forces community.

The MCN is one of three finalists who have been shortlisted for the Family Values Award.

This Award recognises the selfless commitment, dedication and support of an individual, a family, or group to the Armed Forces community, who, through their selfless care, support, and help provide a shining example to society.

Being shortlisted for this prestigious Award is a real badge of honour – it really does mean a great deal to us.

Since the first coworking hub was set up in 2017 in Leuchars, we’ve come a long way.

And our journey has not always been an easy one (read our full story here). There has been many a challenge along the way, and each one, we’ve faced into headfirst, rising from the ashes with more fortitude and willpower each time.

But it’s all been worth it.

A few Thank Yous and Acknowledgements

This announcement pays testament to the resilience, true grit and determination of the Delivery Team, past and present. Their dedication, perseverance, resolution, and resourcefulness has enabled this project to continue to grow and thrive.

We salute then all and thank them for their selfless support and commitment over the years.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to extend our thanks to the Naval and Army Families Federations, who have supported our endeavours throughout the project.

A special recognition also goes to the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust (AFCFT) and Ministry of Defence (MoD) who have supported and funded us, and the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA), who work alongside us to deliver this project.

What It Would Mean to Win

Winning this award would make a huge difference to us. Not only, would it help raise our profile within the Armed Forces community and enable us to reach even more military partners, but it would help us secure the longer-term future of the project.

The winners will be announced on 16th October 2024 at a special Awards Ceremony in London, which will be hosted by Jeremy Vine, BBC Radio and Television presenter, and journalist.

We’ll keep you posted!
