Coronavirus and its effects came as a big surprise and meant work dried up overnight. Sadly I had to cancel weddings and newborn photoshoots and start finding ways to weather the storm and come through the other side.
I’m pleased to say it gave me time to work on the neglected parts of my business, develop new skills and engage with the community more.
I started the doorstep photos after seeing one of my favourite photographers in the UK doing it and thought it would be a fantastic way to meet my neighbours and highlight the strong bonds between families. It quickly became very popular and I’ve met neighbours I didn’t even know I had so it was well worth it.
I also spent time in lockdown improving my website and restructured my pricing, so it was simpler and consistent. I started a blog on my website and even experimented with videography (a completely new area for me). We are returning to normality in Cyprus now and my diary is already filling up. I am very grateful for all the support from our Military Coworking Hub here in Cyprus, offering continuous support. I am looking forward to the next time we can all meet and share our lockdown experiences and inspire each other to grow our businesses and adapt to the challenges ahead.
